Hi, my name in Ben and it all started back in 1994 when I started my apprenticeship.
I had a senior tradesman/mentor and one day I had a piece of wood in my hand and I asked him “what type of wood is this?” and his reply was “been a tree wood!”, at first I had no idea what he meant as he kept a straight face.
It took some time before I realised what he had said.
This was the start of my journey and love affair with woodworking and building.
Fast forward 25 years and “beenatreewood.com” was born to provide value to the woodworking community.
My goal is to help people who want to start, people who have started and the experienced woodworker to get the resources required to create beautiful pieces that will give them satisfaction, confidence and self esteem.
The pieces created can not only be enjoyed now, but can be left for the generations to appreciate, leaving behind a legacy to be proud of.
